The ancient village of Chivelstone, with its church, dedicated to St. Sylvester. The village is now no more than a few houses but the parish covers a larger area, including the larger village of East Prawle. Nearby are the villages of South Pool and the smaller settlements of South Allington, Ford, Waterhead, Hallsands, Huckham and Holset.
